EMERGENCY SERVICES / FAMILY OUTREACH • CASA
If you want to volunteer as an advocate for abused or neglected children? We’ve got a solution for that.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.
CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so that every abused and neglected child can be safe, establish permanence, and have the opportunity to thrive.
Requirements for the Program
A CASA volunteer makes a one-year minimum commitment to the program. Every volunteer must pass a criminal background check and abuse registry check and participate in a 30-hour pre-service training program tailored to suit volunteers’ schedules. They work approximately 6-10 hours per month with their assigned child.
