Pawnee County Transit

Pawnee County Transit System began operation in April, 1981. The system is a county-wide transit service serving the general public with priority for the elderly and handicapped. The Transit System operates on a regular schedule providing both local and out of area door-to-door service.  Attention:  Due to the pandemic out-of-town trips could be affected. 

Pawnee County Transit is a public transportation system available to all persons.

All rides are by APPOINTMENT ONLY and must be scheduled in advance.  The Transit operates in Pawnee City, Monday through Friday, mornings 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and afternoons 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. 

Service between communities within Pawnee County is available by scheduled appointment.  Tuesday's stops include: DuBois; Table Rock; and Pawnee City.   Thursday's stops include: Steinauer; Lewiston; Burchard; and Pawnee City. Please be on time for scheduled appointments.  

The system is operated under contract with Pawnee County.
